THE THIRD AND FINAL ALBUM FROM BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD, RELEASED IN 1968. BUFFALO SPRINGFIELD CONSISTED OF STEPHEN STILLS (GUITAR, KEYBOARDS AND VOCALS), RICHIE FURAY (GUITAR AND VOCALS), NEIL YOUNG (GUITAR, HARMONICA, PIANO AND VOCALS), DEWEY MARTIN (DRUMS) AND BRUCE PALMER (BASS). THE BAND WERE TOGETHER FOR TWO YEARS BUT THEIR INFLUENCE WAS IMMENSE, AND THAT TWO YEARS WAS INCREDIBLY TURBULENT WITH NEIL YOUNG LEAVING AND COMING BACK SEVERAL TIMES. YOUNG ONLY WROTE TWO OF THE SONGS ON 'LAST TIME AROUND', BOTH OF WHICH WERE OUTSTANDING: THE PLAINTIVE 'I AM A CHILD' AND THE BITTERSWEET 'ON THE WAY HOME' (SUNG BY FURAY, NOT YOUNG, ON THE RECORD).
