Arrow is a series by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg that stars Stephen Amell, Katie Cassidy, and Colin Donnell. The series is based on the DC Comics character, Green Arrow. Arrow Season 1 is about a billionaire playboy, Oliver Queen, who went missing in a ship wreck that killed his father. He is found alive after five years in a remote Pacific Island. Oliver?s mother and sister greet him when he comes home to Starling City. However, they notice he is no longer the man that they knew five years ago. Oliver manages to hide the truth about himself and what he has become. He tries to reconcile with his ex-girlfriend. He was cheating on her with her sister, who died during the shipwreck. His goals are now to fulfil the wishes of his deceased father, who wanted to work towards the betterment of society and restore Starling City to its former glory. To begin with, he takes down the millionaire Adam Hunt who has scammed money from people in Starling City. Oliver becomes a vigilante and uses the persona of Arrow to take down all the criminals in the city, sometimes also taking help from his friends to bring about justice. Meanwhile, he comes across certain revelations about his own life and the people around him that nearly shatter him. The series shows clips of his flashbacks during his time in the hostile island where he was a castaway, and how it shaped him into a man that returned to fight crime and corruption. Arrow: The Complete First Season is released in 2013 by Warner Bros Studios in Blu-ray format, with an A rating. It has subtitles in English and has a runtime of 900 minutes.
